Project Summary

The Spokane Water Reclamation Facility Package C - Silo Digester NO. 3 project included construction of a new 90 by 80-foot concrete tank and major structural and mechanical retrofitting.  The project had complex geotechnical elements and utilized an innovative shoring system called "ground freezing".

The project provided Spokane with a new Silo Digester No. 3 and new Gas Flare No. 1 at the Riverside Park Water Reclamation Facility (RPWRF). Work was performed while maintaining the RPWRF’s continuous operation. Coordination with seasonal plant operational constraints was critical. Work included asbestos and lead containing material abatement associated with the improvements.
