Orchard Combat Training Center Rail and Infrastructure Improvements
Building critical rail and site infrastructure to support military training operations

The Orchard Combat Training Center, a 143,000-acre facility located 18 miles south of Boise within the Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area, serves as a training site for the Idaho National Guard and Army Reserve.
IMCO constructed seven new rail spurs, a new rail siding, a marshalling area, and supporting facilities to accommodate the loading and unloading of military equipment and supplies at the training center. Crews also installed a water line and a complete stormwater system, placed 25,000 cubic yards of concrete, and moved 1.2 million tons of imported aggregate materials.
The project provided Orchard Combat Training Center personnel with an efficient and long-term solution for loading and unloading military equipment and supplies across approximately 60 acres of the site.
