Lewiston Water Treatment Plant Progressive Design-Build

The Lewiston water treatment plant retrofit project has been recognized by the DBIA with a National Award of Merit in the water/wastewater category. IMCO’s progressive design-build team used a creative approach to construction, employed the benefits of the progressive design-build delivery method to navigate challenges caused by the pandemic, and called upon incredible teamwork between the City of Lewiston, IMCO, engineering partner Stantec, owner representative Brown and Caldwell, and Control Systems Technologies. 

The work included the demolition of the existing treatment plant, installation of a temporary treatment system, and construction and commissioning of a new membrane filter treatment plant. The scope also included two new treatment tanks, connection to an existing 30-inch raw water line, new 300-horsepower filter pumps, and electrical and controls for the plant.
