Bliss Dam Spillway Repair

Delivering design-build innovation to protect the Bliss Dam, control erosion, and ensure safe, reliable operations

IMCO completed remediation work at a hydroelectric dam near Bliss, Idaho. The facility, built in 1950 on the Snake River, required improvements to an area downstream of the spillway to prevent erosion. This design-build project focused on safety and coordination with dam operators at an active facility.

The work included underwater concrete construction and crane hoisting. Design began in early 2022. After a two-year permit delay, construction started in 2024 and was completed in February 2025.
