Kingston Ferry Terminal Seismic Retrofit
Delivering resilient seismic upgrades without disrupting the region’s critical ferry service.
IMCO Construction is performing the Kingston Ferry Terminal Seismic Retrofit, a critical project to strengthen the existing facility against future earthquake events. The work includes complex structural reinforcements, removal and reinstallation of the terminal bridge, and installation of temporary access systems to support in-water construction operations.
Delivered in coordination with Washington State Ferries, the project requires precise sequencing, large crane operations in constrained conditions, and careful traffic management to maintain terminal functionality throughout construction. This marks IMCO Construction’s fourth project with Washington State Ferries, reinforcing its role as a trusted partner in delivering resilient marine infrastructure across the Puget Sound region.
