Meydenbauer Beach & Marina Revitalization
Restoring natural habitats and expanding public access to the waterfront in Bellevue, Washington
This contract included restoration work for both the developed and undeveloped areas of Meydenbauer Beach Park and Bellevue Marina. IMCO constructed a pedestrian pier and a beach house with restrooms, a lifeguard station, covered outdoor spaces, and natural landscaping features. The scope also included daylighting of a ravine storm drainage channel and natural habitat restoration along the ravine and lakeshore. IMCO provided extensive modeling and virtual design and construction (VDC) services to support the project.
Additional construction elements included a swim beach, kayak launch, and playground, along with demolition, clearing, mechanically stabilized earth walls faced with granite and basalt, concrete paving and retaining walls, and a lake line sewer connection. IMCO crews also built a steel trestle and floating concrete pedestrian pier and completed street and sidewalk improvements, as well as associated utilities, along Lake Washington Boulevard NE and 99th Avenue NE.
