Earthwork, structural concrete, and utility infrastructure to support a $1 billion polysilica facility

IMCO Construction performed all the earthwork, utilities, and structural concrete phases for the construction of a $1 billion polysilica plant for REC. IMCO accrued over 1,000,000 labor-hours throughout the REC Expansion Project with no lost time injuries through a commitment that became the catalyst for a relentless and growing safety culture throughout the company.

Throughout the duration of this project IMCO crews self-performed 220,000 cubic yards of excavation and embarkment, 34,000 cubic yards of concrete, 330,000 square feet of forms, 1,890 tons of rebar, 11,000 anchor bolts, 315,000 square feet of six-inch concrete paving, 3,000 lineal feet of 12-inch trench drain, 3,500 tons of structural steel, 15 miles of underground pipe, 65,000 lineal feet of electrical grounding, 74,000 lineal feet of electrical conduit, over four miles of temporary power and communications, and 4,000 tons of asphalt.
