Two-Phase Industrial Wastewater Treatment Upgrades
Supporting dairy facility through wastewater treatment, including new influent station, tertiary screen upgrades, and filter system improvements
IMCO Construction is delivering upgrades to the existing wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) at a dairy facility in Nampa, Idaho.
During the proposal phase of the project, IMCO identified multiple value engineering opportunities on the project that provided immediate cost savings from the designed plan set. To accelerate the upgrades, this project was divided into two phases.
Phase 1 included the construction of a new influent lift station, tertiary filtration upgrades, dewatering upgrades, and modifications at the existing string lift station. After construction was complete in 2025, IMCO worked with the design engineer and the owner’s programmer to commission all newly installed equipment, including owner and contractor procured equipment. The team facilitated a successful facility startup and integration with existing operations.
Phase 2 of this project includes a large-scale retrofit, removing existing processes and adding a new moving-bed biofilm reactor process and a dissolved air flotation process. The scope includes electrical infrastructure upgrades, new processing piping, demo and reconstruction of existing tanks onsite, and a new effluent lift station. This phase will complete the plant upgrades needed to meet discharge requirements to nearby irrigation canals.
