North Bend I-90 Concrete, Deck, Culvert Rehabilitation
Keeping worker safety at the forefront
IMCO Construction made improvements to eastbound 1-90 by replacing select cement concrete panels and shoulders, cement concrete pavement grinding, bituminous pavement grinding, and paving with HMA. Three westbound bridge decks and one eastbound bridge deck were rehabilitated by scarifying, hydro-milling, and modified concrete overlay. Additional work included drainage rehabilitations, construction, operation and removal of a westbound detour, temporary traffic control, delineation, TESC and other work.
Worker safety was the project’s number one priority. Much of the work was completed next to live traffic on the busy interstate and crews were working day and night shifts to complete the work within WSDOT work windows.
