Priest River Water Resources Recovery Facility

Wastewater treatment retrofit to mitigate environmental and operational impacts

IMCO Construction provided extensive upgrades to the existing wastewater treatment plant for the City of Priest River, Idaho. The project brought the facility up current environmental standards and included influent lift station upgrades with screw pump replacement and the demolition of an existing headworks facility and anaerobic basin mixer. Construction crews built a new air-supply to the grit chamber and installed dissolved oxygen probe and aeration controls. The project included pump station piping improvements, construction of a solids dewatering facility and a utility water system, installation of a new effluent v-notch weir flowmeter, electrical upgrades, and ultraviolet light disinfection systems upgrades. The existing facility was located on an extremely small site and had to remain online and active during construction.
