Anacortes Airport North Tiedown Apron Improvements
Project Summary
The primary goal of the project was to improve existing drainage issues at the Anacortes Airport. The airport is a federally funded public airport open 24 hours per day, every day of the year. Crews graded an existing drainage channel and constructed new underdrains and catch basins. The contract included the removal of approximately 3,600 square yards, or 3/4 of an acre, of existing asphalt pavement. The project also modified the existing ground cover with cement treated subgrade, repaved the work area, and installed 27 new concrete tiedown anchors used to secure airplanes.
