Darigold Boise Plant Upgrades

Project Summary

Over multiple contracts, IMCO has made significant upgrades to Darigold’s Boise wastewater treatment plant. In early 2022, Darigold selected IMCO for a design-build contract for a new dissolved air flotation (DAF) system to further treat and improve the plant wastewater discharge quality. In addition, Darigold partnered with Evoqua Water Technologies to design and provide equipment for large-scale capacity and treatment upgrades at the plant. Evoqua then subcontracted with IMCO to provide design-build services for new process buildings and perform much of the construction work for the upgrades project. At the same time, IMCO is also under contract with Darigold to cover the remaining scope gaps of the upgrades project, including managing city permitting; electrical, gas, and water utility improvements; site stormwater upgrades; and site work including grading and paving.

IMCO self-performed a large spectrum of general contractor and construction management services to efficiently manage construction activity, project budget, schedule, safety, and subcontractors. IMCO’s preconstruction services included constructability reviews and cost analysis, procurement assistance, budgetary cost estimates, and preliminary scheduling.
