Darigold Boise Plant Upgrades
Innovative design-build solutions for cleaner water
Over multiple contracts, IMCO made significant upgrades to Darigold’s Boise wastewater treatment plant. In early 2022, Darigold selected IMCO for a design-build contract to construct a new dissolved air flotation (DAF) system to further treat and improve the plant’s wastewater discharge quality. Darigold partnered with Evoqua Water Technologies to design and provide equipment for large-scale capacity and treatment upgrades at the plant. Evoqua subcontracted with IMCO to deliver design-build services for new process buildings and to perform much of the construction work for the upgrades project. IMCO was also under contract with Darigold to complete the remaining scope gaps of the upgrades project, including management of city permitting; electrical, gas, and water utility improvements; site stormwater upgrades; and site work such as grading and paving.
IMCO self-performed a broad range of general contractor and construction management services to effectively manage construction activity, project budget, schedule, safety, and subcontractors. IMCO’s preconstruction services included constructability reviews and cost analysis, procurement assistance, budgetary cost estimates, and preliminary scheduling.
