Washington’s first large-scale clean hydrogen plant for a sustainable energy future
Douglas County PUD contracted IMCO Construction to build Washington State’s first large-scale hydrogen production facility, which will use water and power from the Wells Dam facility to produce hydrogen through an electrolysis process. Hydrogen does not emit carbon and is considered, by many, to be the energy source of the future. This contract included construction of a pre-cast tilt-up building, a large mechanical scope, and the installation of hydrogen producing equipment.
