Rocky Reach Trash Boom Float Installation
Project Summary
This project required improvements to the floating trash boom system for Rocky Reach Dam in Wenatchee, Washington. The trash boom system prevents debris from entering the dam. IMCO crews disconnected the existing cable from the upstream side of the dam and pulled the floats so they were parallel with the shoreline. After confirming the condition of the existing floats, the timber was removed along with the old cable and replaced with new cable. New floats were installed to replace damaged ones that did not meet quality standards and were moved into place and attached during installation of the new cable.
