Upper Pahsimeroi Fish Hatchery Aeration Tower Improvements
Project Summary
The Pahsimeroi Fish Hatchery is located in Lemhi County, Idaho, approximately 25 miles from the town of Challis on the Pahsimeroi River. The hatchery complex consists of fish production facilities, a lower facility and an upper facility. The lower facility functions as an adult trapping and spawning facility while the upper facility is a juvenile Chinook rearing facility.
The project included two primary improvements to the Upper Pahsimeroi Fish Hatchery, partial demolition and improvement of the existing well water aeration tower, and construction of a new air handling building adjacent to the reconstructed aeration tower to improve the efficiency of the aeration tower.
